Resort-style home in growing regional city a winner
6 Caernarvon Court, Wodonga

The quality and scope of extras available with this resort-sized home in Wodonga is mind boggling.
Like what? Well, how about an indoor pool set in a glass conservatory with an elevated view across the city?
It’s one wow factor in a home that has more than a few oh-my-gosh moments up its sleeve.
The 70-square home at 6 Caernarvon Drive could suit a multi-generational family, or indeed a sole owner who is happy to have visitors come on by and stay awhile.
Five absolutely stunning bedrooms, with panoramic views, generous ensuites and the master upstairs has French doors onto the veranda. Spending time alone or with a special loved one on this veranda, in the still of a country morning would be the best way to start any day.
It is a large home but not with that palatial, hotel feel. Not at all. There is an imaginative mix here of intimate spaces – the library stroke study is rich and cosy and the main living rooms are super generous communal spaces with plenty of room to move.
Plus. the upper level has a veranda that meanders around the front of the house – offering sweeping views – and private nooks and crannies.

The ground floor can be seen as a separate home in many ways; there is a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and a living room that currently serves as a very swish cinema with sectional lounges and again, access to a veranda and garden.
As a huge fan of wisteria, I have to mention the star of the lower level; an established abundant vine that covers the veranda walkway. The aroma more than likely wafts up to the bedrooms above. It’s a luxury of space and nature.
The block is 1.26 hectares, set high on the street and absolutely private. The terraced front garden leads to the large landscaped pool area. Beyond being a delight through the day, it unusually offers a sparkling view of the town in the evening.
Speaking of size, there is also thought to be given here of the option of subdividing the block – if that suits. A way to easily finance lifestyle options.
Wodonga is a growing and invigorated city, recently undergoing upgrades to a solid, existing infrastructure. The Council is proactive and keen to assist start-up businesses through the Economic Development team, and the economy has survived well during the Covid crisis.
There is a good mix of public and private school offerings, including the option of schools on the Albury side of the border.
It’s a mere 1.5 hours to the ski fields, five minutes to the centre of town and 20 minutes to the water skiing rich Lake Hume.
But of course, if you had in indoor and an outdoor pool of your own, perhaps you’d prefer to splash about at home.
