Due to an internal promotion to a more senior position in the department, a permanent position for a Senior Project Engineer has become available.
This role is key in guiding the delivery of civil renewal and rehabilitation projects within Council and leading a small team of Project Engineers. Working as part of a team of 10 including 2 other Senior Project Engineers with their own teams, you will be responsible to deliver your projects and develop your team to continue the current high performance.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to deal confidently and positively with community members, contractors, internal departments and other authorities. You will work within a team of professionals who are dedicated to achieving excellence in the delivery of high quality, sustainable community infrastructure projects.
To be considered for this role you will need to have considerable engineering and contract management experience, an approved tertiary civil engineering qualification, a minimum of five years of local government or equivalent experience, and people management experience.
