Learn intriguing tales of the Shipwreck Coast

The Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village engages visitors with digital installations throughout the village as part of a sound and light show called Tales of the Shipwreck Coast.

At night, you’ll be immersed in the stories of the volcanic plains, the whaling industry and the famous Loch Ard shipwreck. By day, you can explore the maritime village and museum that’s built around the 1858 heritage-listed Warrnambool Lighthouse.

The Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village holds Victoria’s largest maritime and shipwreck collection. Among the special pieces is the $4million Loch Ard Peacock, a relic from the Loch Ard ship that was wrecked at the Loch Ard Gorge in 1878.

The maritime village offers guided tours once a day and a Conexu guided tour application for iPhone and Android phones.
